So the year 2015 finally comes to an end tonight. Adios 2015, Welcome 2016! Every hoarding and banner is screaming and showcasing the events happening tonight all across the world. I bet majority of the people worldwide would be having some plan or the other for the New Year’s night with friends, family, music and dance to usher in the New Year.
But some quiet ‘souls’ opt to stay at home with ‘able to count on your fingertips’ friends. But that doesn’t mean they can’t have fun, does it? Why not get a little creative and make the most of the last night of the year with ample food, drinks and music in the comfort of your own paradise.
Today SOUL, along with Chef Tandon (of Pride Hotels), brings you ‘Virgin Ecstasy Inferno’ which, with some fancy techniques and wow presentation, includes creation of smoke, explosions, foam, glow in the dark drinks.
Somethings just have to be experienced to believe and what better occasion to try it out than whilst bringing in the New Year?
Virgin Ecstasy Inferno!
Fruit Juice Caviar
1 cup vegetable Oil (flavorless and one that remains liquid when chilled)
1/2 cup pure fruit juices assorted of different colors and tastes to add variety
1 teaspoon agar agar powder divided into each fruit juices.
- Pour oil into a tall-ish glass and chill (the oil must be cold).
- In a small saucepan individually boil juice and agar agar to dissolve and kept separately, to cool.
- Fill an oral syringe or a straw with the juice. Drop, one drop at a time, into the cold oil. Little caviar orbs will form on contact with the cold oil and fall to the bottom.
- Strain caviar using a fine mesh strainer. Rinse well with water – pat dry and chill till be used.
Assembling- The Virgin Ecstasy Inferno
30 ml apple flavored carbonated drink – proprietarily available
30 ml Water melon juice
30 ml Blue Curacao syrup
15 ml lemon juice
Mix all accept the carbonated drink on a bed of frappe in a stemmed glass , gradually drop in assorted fresh fruit juice caviars and top up the Ecstasy with apple flavored carbonated drink .Garnish well with lemon curls – briskly stir and serve.
