New rules of This Winter Fashion Look You Need To Follow
Independence Day takes me the down the memory lane of getting decked up for a morning performance in school followed by wrapping off the event with the National Anthem. With school life turning into photographs and corporate life taking over, there is a hankering for the bygone Independence Day celebration at school.
For those who are part of the corporate world, dressing appropriately for the occasion can give you quite a tough time- You want to stand and at the same time do justice to the event. Since Independence Day is round the corner and offices would be in full arms to celebrate don’t miss out the opportunity to shine bright like a diamond in your best ethnic ensemble.
Independence Day Lookbook : Here are my 5 interpretations of ethnic wear that you can wear to the office and be your best ethnic version!
LOOK 1: Spin magic with the regal quintessence of Lucknow by fusing a white long Chikankari kurta coordinated with coral orange palazzo. To play up with the Independence Day colours accessorize with green tassel –and- coin combination neckpiece. Am I missing out on something? Don’t forget to slip on those coruscating Rajasthani jootis for those happy feet!
LOOK 2: Nothing spells elegance like the graceful nine yards, so drape yourself in a Bengal cotton sari with ganga-jamuna border juxtaposed with a solid-hued khesh blouse and layer with a Kalamkarijacket. Bedeck with joorapin with wooden bird detailing burrowing inside the top bun and you are good to go!
LOOK 3: If you have to attend an event in the evening then nothing sounds better than a hot pink Chanderi silk maxi dress. Style meets comfort? That is my calling! Bring out your inner diva with ghoongroo anklet and Afghani earring as accompaniments!
LOOK 4: Another sari look that I am digging in at the moment is a timeless Dhakai-Jamdani done in white-and-orange contrast and partnered with a green Bandhni for that perfect Independence Day look. Don’t forget to add mogra to adorn your buns.
LOOK 5: If you have been a lover of dreamy and cascading floor-length kaalidaars, then this is your aesthetic! Yellow Organza kaalidaar embellished with splendid and intricate work of brocade can give anyone ethnic wear goals. The melodious tinkling of green glass choodis, the sophistication rendered by wedge heels and the subtle touch of bindi promises to take this look a few notches higher!
Hope my suggestions were helpful and this Independence Day you are set to mesmerize one and all with your kind of ethnic wear!
Happy Independence Day lovelies!
