Summer Dessert Recipe: Buttermilk Panna Cotta With Strawberry Coulis!
It’s Valentine’s day and time to take a sip of decadence! Here is the recipe for a yummilicious Valentine’s Day mocktail by Chef Aman Tandon of Pride Hotel, Pune! Very Berry Bellini is a luscious Italian mocktail with the goodness of freshly churned ripe strawberries blended with an aerated apple beverage, muddled with juicy lemons and crowned with exotic berry hearts and cooling mint!
Serves – 4
Time taken – 10 mins
1 – bottle APPY FIZ (apple flavored aerated drink) or two of Perrier
250 gms of fresh strawberrt pureed/100 ml of strawberry crush
fresh strawberries sliced with mint for garnish
dash of lemon juice
pinch of salt
lemon slice for garnish
few black grapes to float in the glass with the drink
ice cubes crushed
stemmed wine glass/martini glass
1. Churn & puree the fresh ripe strawberries in a blender
2. Add the puree to the glass first
3. Gently pour the apple flavored fizzy drink so that it stands topped on the layer of pureed berries
4. Add a pinch of salt , dash of lemon juice and garnish with strawberry , mint , lemon slices and black grapes
5. Drop in crushed ice .
Tip: you can rim the glass with sugar for a fancy touch. Moisten the rim of the glass with a fresh lime wedge. Then dip the rim of the glass in a saucer bowl of sugar. Flip the glass while you do this. Lift the glass out of the sugar and shake off excess sugar. Fill glass with the mocktail. Easy!
** to Create Smoke Effect — a few chunks of dry ice just before serving would create a live wire smoke and bubbly effect — giving a stupendous appeal value to the valentines in arms.
